Like Toronto, my hometown (Maracaibo, Venezuela) is at the shore of a lake where the sun also rises every day. So, it was a vital choice to settle by the lakeshore to start a new beginning.
In this photo series, my perception of my new home blends with longing, nostalgia, and the stories and ties that I have left behind. Black and white added a desired timelessness and an idyllic character, while stressing the essence of the portrayed stories and the charm of the infrared light.
