1000 Bay Street
September of 2013 I spent in a beautiful Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts in Wyoming as an artist in residence among other distinguished artists. In just one month I witnessed summer, autumn and winter there. These sky-high white aspens witnessed us getting lost in their majestic sight. Their trunks left a soft white powder on our hands as their black eyes followed us around.
Moscow-born, Toronto-based Nika Belianina has been making fiction and documentary films for the last 10 years. Her work has been screened at Oscar-qualifying, human rights, and other international film festivals across Canada, Nigeria, Russia, USA, UAE, and Ukraine, for which she has earned 6 awards. Nika’s photographs have also been showcased in Belgium, Canada and USA at more than 20 exhibitions. She’s also an Ontario Arts Council artist in residence recipient.
