Praise Paul-Umogbai was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1997 and is a student of Graphic Design at OCAD University. Praise has always been fascinated by the ability of art to both represent and interpret the world around it through countless mediums and points of view. She is heavily influenced by geometric forms, simplicity and the minimalist approach of modern design, which she combines with bold colors, unrefined textures, abstraction, and expression. Praise currently creates primarily digital artworks, and also explore photography, illustration and occasionally motion design. She will complete her studies at OCAD U in the summer of 2018. Her aim is to continue to create as she is inspired and share her work. Praise was one of fourteen artists and designers whose work was exhibited as part of “FORM Together”, a collaborative hoarding exhibit developed in partnership with OCAD University and Tridel.
