Elizabeth Dawson is a Toronto-based Illustrator and Fine Artist. Pursuing her Bachelor of Design degree in the Illustration program at OCAD University. Her 8 years of experience in teaching children’s programs throughout numerous camps, community centres, and art galleries has informed the nostalgic qualities in her work and has further developed her artistic skills and artistic direction.
The soft and faded qualities in Elizabeth’s work evokes the visual language of our memories and brings up notions of nostalgia to kindle the viewers’ fantasies. She combines realism and abstract forms with the use of delicate lines and pastel colour pallets.
