The root of my process starts with my sketchbook. I will typically start a project by seeking inspiration from past sketchbook entries. If the project is commissioned work, I sketch out multiple drawings until I have a semi-draft rough that I feel is best suited for the project. I then scan the drawing and work digitally using a few Adobe programs.
I love bright, bold colours and work with them often in my projects. I enjoy building landscapes with a focus on people or person. I am interested in how the viewer reads shapes and lines. I want the viewer’s eye to delightfully move around the artwork and engage in the narrative on a personal and emotional level.
