Currently living in Toronto, Jonah Kamphorst is a multi-disciplinary artist with over a decade of experience in art direction, illustration, composing, graphic design, visual installation, and community event organization.
His visual projects have included independent and collaborative art shows, murals in Toronto and New York City, and professional illustration work for numerous clients including Greenpeace Canada and The Fringe Festival, to tattoo designs, album covers, and T shirts.
I am a narrative artist and my work is about telling stories. By combining otherworldly visions, rich detail, vivid atmospheres, and striking or unusual characters I attempt to weave mysterious, esoteric and often ecological themes through my work... always hinting at a much bigger picture beyond the canvas.
My illustrative work is a combination of traditional pen & Ink drawing techniques, digital painting, and vector art, but I also paint murals in acrylic.
