Wandy Cheng is a third year illustration student at OCAD University. She has been doodling around as long as she can remember. Whether spoken or written, stories are often the most important medium that connect humans. Wandy enjoys sharing her own perspectives of narratives through non- sensical illustrations and collages.
I love creating art that preserves the magic and innocence of childhood. My inspirations often come from my day- to- day interactions with people and nature, as well as the unfiltered conversations I've had with kids and toddlers of varying ages. Using bright colours done mostly in watercolour, in contrast with extremely detailed line work done in pen, I seek to bring a sense of optimism and energy to my audience.
