As far back as I can remember, I have been embellishing whatever I can get my hands on with flourishing doodles or splatters of paint. In my practice, I am on a never-ending journey to truly tap into my subconscious to produce the purest form of work from my hand possible. Essentially, I have always been creating tiny sketches and minuscule worlds where there are no mistakes and no right or wrong. My work always involves paper, pens and acrylic paint at the very least. I sometimes incorporate mylar to enhance the illusion or colour contrast within a piece. The imagery is whimsical and laden with many tiny obsessively drawn bits and pieces that often represent a freeze frame of a transformation. Nearly my entire body of work could be described as biomorphic and influenced by my study of textiles.
